Traditional seasonal Scottish meal and exercise
Fishman had herring yesterday so could not resist a traditional meal of herring in oatmeal with potatoes from the plots, cabbage from John Don at Riverside Cottage and beetroot and tomatoes fro the plots and Jjv Don in Alva to bring out flavours. So much white carbs will have detrimental effect on weight so glad the weather was good and able to put a 4 hour shift in at allotments harvesting broad bean seeds for next year and barrow loads of marrows, courgettes and squash. Hopefully the exercise help limit the detrimental effect the meal will have on my weight by burning off some of the calories
