Balancing Act

Another visit from one of the Sparrowhawk family. This one is clearly an adult and spent much of his visit preening rather than looking for prey. Perhaps he had already dined. There were a few birds still hopping around nearby, including a Chiffchaff right behind him. I wonder if they have a way of knowing that he is not on the hunt.
I had intended to spend some time in the garden, but it took me a good chunk of the day to check and write up the fungus  records from yesterday for our recorder.
