A Meandering Life...

On the Road

Tuesday 14th September, Blipped on Thursday 16th.

First off I’d like to thank everyone for making my boat Blip on Monday a hit on the popular page! I’m honoured and very pleased you had the same imagination as I did when I spotted it.

I have been away for a couple of nights in Scotland to explore the area west of Gretna Green for the first time. We drove through the North Pennines AONB (Area of Natural Beauty) to get there. I’m not one for landscape shots but as we approached Middleton-in-Teesdale I stopped to oil a squeaky seat in my van, it had been there since I bought it and had finally realised where it was coming from. It was the runners on the pull out seat that makes up the bed.

Oil applied, squeak gone I noticed this 1961 Bedford bus chugging up the hill. It had an old couple up front and it was possibly their home. The back was full of stuff needed to live on the open road.
