Twenty Five Years

There's a similar picture in the album of photos from our wedding day so we thought we'd create a new version this morning after we opened cards and presents. We found the cassette tape of music we recorded to play at the ceremony and listened to that - four tunes that played repeatedly, one each from Ella Fitzgerald (With a Song in My Heart), Nanci Griffith (This Old Town), Joni Mitchell (Centrepiece) and Moxy Fruvous (My Baby Loves a Bunch of Authors). Later on we made a sort of tapas-style meal with mini portions of eight different meals we associate with places we have lived or gone on holiday to. It worked really well, even the dish that we converted to a vegetarian version to reflect our changing eating habits. And we rounded it off with some delicious cheese and crackers we bought in Dunkeld last week and a pair of 1996 whisky miniatures that were an anniversary present from my Dad (extra).
A bonus of the day was the arrival of the latest copy of Nutmeg with another article of mine in it. An article that was picked up by The Guardian and also appeared online, inspiring over 500, mostly positive, BTL comments (another extra).
