She is Prepared for Adventure

We went out on the boat this morning; Little Miss wanted to bring her camera & binoculars, you can see she has both of them around her neck. It is so darn cute watching her as he takes a photo or looks at things in the distance. But that outfit leaves much to be desired; the Spiderman life jacket was the only one that fit her and the flowered hat was the only one left at the beach house......oh well, usually she looks like she is going to a party with one of her cute dresses I find at thrift shops or garage sales.

Crabbing wasn't great until we pulled one trap with three huge Dungeness crabs in it! We did end up with 12 crab. Little Miss Ellie is so excited about taking some home to her family tomorrow and our granddaughter asked us to please bring enough home for her and her boyfriend so we needed to get enough. Ellie fell asleep for more than an hour on the boat, we had to wake her when we got back to the dock. 

After we cooked the crab and ate dinner, Ellie and I headed back home in the extra car we keep at the beach. My husband stayed to fish tomorrow. I was concerned that the 1 1/2 hour trip home might be difficult with just me and Ellie, but it went very quickly. The trip started with a small ice cream cone for Ellie; that lasted a good half hour since she only licks the ice cream and never takes a bite of it.  :-))  Then we played word games; the one she liked best was "Guess what I am thinking of" where we gave clues as to what it was. She is great at guessing but usually gives the answer when she gives clues to what she is thinking.  :-)) I love it that she always says, with great enthusiasm , "Good guess, GG" when I know the answer.
