My plans for the day were thrown to the winds with the unexpected arrival of a friend at elevenses.

We sat in the sun and chatted for a couple of hours, then we pottered around the garden, before at last heading out for a later afternoon walk with Jeaniebean.

I love days disrupted by conviviality.
