Garden Cottage

Owned by Stirling University and on the edge of its campus, this is Garden Cottage, a listed building(although neglect has caused its listing to be lowered). Originally 3 estate workers cottages, it was converted into a single house, forming part of the boundary of a walled garden. In the 1960s, it was used for admin. and was spick & span. Since then, it has been allowed to deteriorate. Plans to convert it into a local museum or a writers’ & artists’ retreat haven’t gone anywhere.
