whilst my wife and daughter were out, i decided to bake some scones for their return.
i lit the fire then went for a very cold walk and all i could think about was what was waiting for me on my return.
served with the last of the summer's strawberry jam - they didn't disappoint!
hunter's stew and pineapple crumble on the menu for later - a day of indulgence and reading the paper by the fire.
