My love is like a red red rose...

... and it's his birthday soon, so I sneaked up to town this evening to buy him a couple of presents. He reads my journal, so I cannot say anything further here for the time being.

After the very enjoyable breakfast with PhD student Rachel last Wednesday, today it was Marina's turn. I haven't seen Marina in 3D for almost two years, even though we speak a lot in conference calls and over email. It was wonderful to be just across the table from one another in Söderberg.

I returned home in good time for day 1 of a three day online meeting. This kept me well entertained most of the day until it was time for my shopping expedition.

Exercise today: walking (16,892 steps).
