The Proof of the Pudding

No, the red balloon is not blip-related. As it's been such a grim day, I used the time to advance my preparations for our UK Fungus day event, which is on 2 October. This is a demonstration of how yeast generates carbon dioxide when fed on sugar. 
It was a good day in the garden as far as birds were concerned. There were more small birds around than we've had for a little while - lots of Blue Tits, and Goldfinches, some Greenfinches and best of all, a Chiffchaff, which even came onto the veranda.
