Whitby 2021 Day 1 ... eventually.

Last year we came to Whitby and managed to go through Leeds city centre which added considerably to our journey time.
This year we were within 20 miles of Whitby, all was going well and we were pleased to be making good time
...... until we came across a Police roadblock! An articulated lorry had jack knifed and gone into a ditch blocking the Whitby route.

No injuries but we were told there would be an up to 2 hour wait to have the road cleared.
Alternative route was a circuitous drive via Scarborough but we made it safely, eventually.
