Coquet island from Alnmouth

After much discussion, this morning's gentle amble was at Alnmouth (of course we did consider ambling in Amble).  Bizarrely all the tea-rooms/pubs were shut so getting a coffee was a challenge (though the deli did a takeaway which we drank on the top of the headland).  

We then headed back to the cottage, and mum and I walked along the coast to Low Newton where Dad and John met us.  John and I had a beer outside the pub/micro-brewery (supplying our own deckchairs) and Mum and Dad took a short walk.  As he was driving, we bought Dad a can of ale to take away!
