Champing at the bit

She's speeding down the Champs Elysees as I leave for the gym. She gives a brief nod of acknowledgement - concentration is everything.

I get home a couple of hours later, desperate for a coffee and something to eat.  The coffee machine is on and there's a pastry waiting for me on the worktop.  They say that exercise brings its own rewards.  In this case it was Anniemay.
