Perveril of the Peak

We booked a walking tour of Manchester today. Our guide also took us to some famous Manchester watering holes including this tiled pub sandwiched in between city centre developments. We didn’t go inside but I understand it is family owned, has the oldest landlady in the UK, and serves decent beer. The name is said to commemorate a horse drawn stagecoach than travelled between Manchester and London. The building dates back to the early 19th C with the cladding added in 1900.
