Virginia Water

Not having seen the news, Steve and I were surprised to find police barricades and news cameras and helicopters as we attempted to approach Virginia Water Park from Mill Lane. We found out that a certain Russian oligarch had died recently and that his house on Mill Lane was being carefully inspected.

We didn't let that or the 1C temperature put us off, and we were able to run around the lake as planned. We enjoyed running together again and the park was popular despite the weather. I also ran home to get a slightly longer run in of 7 miles. After a week of excess food and drink, I should really have done more, but that was already a big effort for me.

This waterfall is much bigger than normal due to the months and months of rain.
