Sunday: West Coast Living

Started the day with the Battle of Britain ceremony in Stanley Park.  It always seems to mark the beginning of autumn for me, and certainly a lot of the leaves are starting to fall.   I’m amazed at how quickly this summer has gone.

This evening, we were invited over to Scott and Corky’s for dinner.  Scott is a retired publisher and we met when I first arrived.  We occasionally meet for lunch and have always got on very well.  Tonight they had us over to their place on the north shore, along with their friends, Max and Susan.  It was a lovely evening and it was great to see their beautiful west coast house (it’s actually listed as some sort of architectural gem…….).
