U.S. Open Adaptive Surfing Championships

The fourth annual Adaptive Surf Championships were being held at the Oceanside Pier this weekend. My daughter and I walked down to take in the action. An impressive group of athletes from all over the world and helpers from the Stoke for Life Foundation were on the sand and in the water. There were different divisions depending on the disability, but all competitors were stoked to be on the waves battling for part of the $20,000 in prize money.
