Donnersberg

Today our eldest M and I made a hike around and over the Donnersberg, the highest mountain of of the Palatinate (German: Pfalz) region of Germany, 686.5m. A demanding yet refreshing tour.
On the mountain, connecting the recreated Celtic village in Steinbach with the once real oppidum on the Donnersberg, is a sculpture path. I have taken a picture in mono of one of the sculptures, the one with two horns. (Thanks to Majoayee for hosting.)
One of the places to visit is the "Eremitenklause" (hermitage), ca. 2.40m x 3.70m. It exists since at least 1468.
Another showplace is the "Adlerbogen"; this monument was erected in 1880 in honor of the contribution made by Field Marshal von Moltke (1800-1891) in securing the Palatinate borders in the Franco-German War (1870/71). My first picture in the extras.
