A Trio of Otters
I was convinced that we would see otters in the two locations where I photographed them last week but, frustratingly no-one was playing ball today.
For once the lochs were a bit choppy and as you peered through binoculars, every crest seemed like a back of a diving otter.
As we drove around we suddenly spotted a gaggle of tripod wielding photographers with their enormous lenses trained on something in the kelp.
I leapt out and casually sauntered over near them where I could see a mother otter with her two young.
They stayed within sight for no more than a minute and today's batch sums up my total number of shots taken all day.
Highly cropped but a joyous selection .
