Leaving

We had heavy rain last evening, really heavy with thunder and lightning.... and this morning it is misty, and looks as if the farm is as sorry to see us go as we are to go.

We got up fairly early and organised, tidied and cleaned where necessary, and then headed off towards the A1.  We stopped at a farm shop for a breakfast, traditional in our family holidays.  Then we parted, Helen and Dave to go south and Bob and I to go north. 

We always make the parting very quick, as it could be too emotional otherwise.  Hopefully it won't be so long till we see each other once more.

Bob and I headed for Sunderland on the A1, as he wanted to check something out for next year's club break,  It proved more difficult than we had anticipated, the traffic was very heavy, but once we crossed the border back into Scotland it eased and we had a nice run home through the border country. 

It has been a wonderful holiday and will stay in our memory for a long time.  Back to auld claes and parridge now.......
