Tumbleweed...
Oh the lovely tumbleweed! They're all over the place...this huge one happens to be over my neighbors yard, I have no idea how they get in there, yard is fenced in.
So what is this ball of mess anyway? A tumbleweed is the above part of a plant that has separated from the root and tubles away into the wind. It's the symbol of the American West!!
Ironically, they are not even native to the US, was brought to this country by Ukranian farmers. Real name is the "Russian Tristle". Each tumbleweed can produce up to 250,000 seeds, you know, just to guarantee that we will never run out of them!
Word of warning...DON'T TOUCH THEM!! One flew into my yard a few weeks ago and I tried to pick it up...ouch.

Quick movie review - went to see Earth last night, just to celebrate Earth Day and all...do my part ;) It was AMAZING!! Wow...the visuals were incredible...I don't even know how they captured some of the shots. I would honestly love to have the opportunity to go to some of those places one day - Africa is definitely on my list. It was about an hour and a half...but just so beautiful. A great reminder that we truly live on a beautiful planet...and that we do have to do our part to take care of it. We've already done so much damage. So I give it thumbs up - would def recommend going to see it.
Today was busy! Went into the office...had lots of lovely meetings...and then had lunch w/ Noah's sister, Samantha. Her wedding is Saturday...she is sooooo excited! I don't have the fantasy to have a BIG wedding and all like most women do, but I can understand it. It's such a big step in a relationship - when you talk of marriage and such. It's an important thing...committing yourself to someone for life. Growing up and thinking about someone else for a change. Putting them first. Not always having things on your terms...COMPROMISING!
I'm happy for them both. My ideal wedding...beach...sunset...just the two of us. After all, that is all that matters. It's a moment for two people...I've always thought a wedding was just a show to put on for guests. You can put on a party later on for family and friends to celebrate. Hey, I'm a simple one ;)
And on a totally different note...you might be seeing a blip of me on a dirt bike in the near future ;)
