Thomas and friends

Tanking up on the Isle of Man steam railway. The original Thomas the Tank Engine was one of these engines. Michael Portillo was on the train behind us. We did see him from a distance, having a go at being an engine driver. I think he was wearing a pink jacket!

The highlight of today was seeing seals sleeping on the rocks. There are no foxes, badgers, squirrels or jays on the island.

Today's other interesting fact: There are no political parties on the Isle of Man. Everyone stands as an independent.
