Lovely Day for a Hike

My nephew, Tyler, and I visited the Vedanta Retreat near Scappoose where we wandered the trails, checked out the shrines, and sat on a big log in the adjoining, newly acquired clear-cut acreage to rest, talk, and take in the view. Then we checked out Cathedral Park, including the boat launch in the picture, aa he'd never been to the park before. Ty is in the enviable position of earning his living wherever he opens his laptop, and is deciding where to settle down next: Boulder, Bend . . . but, alas, not Portland again.
