COVID-19 update. There were 33 new cases reported in Auckland today. Cabinet has conferred with Health officials and has decided that Auckland and surrounds must remain in Lockdown Level Four for another week. Folk are urged to get vaccinated and anyone with cold- like symptoms should be tested. We are still hopeful that New Zealand will become COVID-19 free once again.

Meanwhile here in Marlborough…. It was windy overnight. I think we got off lightly when compared with stories from down south in the Dunedin and Canterbury areas. We had an hour or two of clear skies and sunshine very early this morning. The skies opened around 9.am. The rain was torrential but short-lived. I went to my computing course this morning. We are back after levels three and four level lockdowns. Face masks and social distancing the orders of the day.
