Experiment

I’m still trying out new approaches to making paintings. Today I started with spray ink and then used Posca pens to make this 18 by 24 inch painting. Many of the vertical lines are from the ink dripping down the canvas. Shelly doesn’t like this kind of art, but that doesn’t bother me at all. I am not even sure I like it but I think it’s a way to figure out where I’m headed in my art. And it’s fun to do. I find these days that I have a much lighter attachment to my work than I used to. I’m not trying to make “great art”. I’m exploring and experimenting and having a good time doing that.
