Caledonian Pops Orchestra

Tonight was the first ever concert for the shiney new "Caledonian Pops Orchestra" set up by Australian conductor Jennifer Bailey. It was a great concert. Made up on the idea of being for "classic fm" listeners who would prefer to listen to short snippets, 1st movements, of well known symphonies. It was also aimed towards kids and there were loads of them in the audience which was very new and exciting in itself. A toddler proms is in the pipeline as well as a haloween concert, in fancy dress!!

Here's to the next gig.

We have to establish already in school children the belief that music belongs to everyone and is, with a little effort, available to everyone.
