Not losing the thread
As I walked along the path I peered deep into the surrounding foliage and saw a spider in the middle of her web. I tried to take a picture but failed to get the focus and then she started to revolve very fast, as spiders do to deceive the eye of a predator. Next she shot off the web and tried to hide in an oak leaf but I could still see her, attached to her thread I assume she thought she was concealed...
I like the contrast betweeth the taut line of spider silk and the wavy edge of the oak leaf.
Small pleasures.
