Ilídio

After my Portuguese lesson with Ilídio, I told him I liked his Jesus t-shirt and he obliged with a photo.

I’m a big fan of this guy. We have some lively debates about our different views, but it’s always a good-natured discussion and a useful sharing of perspectives. I wouldn’t say doing this calmly is my forte in other spheres, so as well as being a kind teacher, Ilídio is helping with other life skills.

- I keep watching this speech about Islamophobia by Zarah Sultana.
- I have been asked for references following the job interview I attended. It’s a little unclear whether it’s prior to an offer or a second interview, but it’s exciting nonetheless.
