Potatoes

We go to Em’s exhibition (part of this years Art Walk Porty https://www.artwalkporty.co.uk/). Her pictures are great, and the pieces by her co-exhibitors (stained glass, ceramics) are excellent too.

And drops me at Hillend, Stagecoach take me to Dolphinton, Bill takes me home. I pick plums (one five gallon bucket now full) and spread out the potatoes to dry (twice the size of last year’s harvest)

Then it’s on the bike and off to Alan’s 60th. A good mix of old friends, regular Paisley acquaintances, and new faces. First time visitors include Gordy, Dave & Karin). The food is great, the fire provides necessary warmth, and conversation keeps me going till after midnight.
