Lookout Lodge

Home for the night Bear Lodge in the Lookout Lodges at Whipsnade Zoo. For Christmas 2019 I bought H a night in one the lodges (me M and A just tagged along) we were due to do in May last year but it got cancelled due to Covid so we tried again for May this year again it was cancelled due to Covid restrictions but we finally made it today. We travelled down to Whipsnade this morning and spent the afternoon walking around part of the zoo then at 4.30 we checked into our lodges then when the zoo had closed its doors we were taken on a sunset tour around Africa and Asia areas where we saw Bongos, Sitatungas, White Rhinos, African Wild Dogs, Tigers and Chimps we then had our evening meal in the Base Camp restaurant before we were taken on a torchlight tour back to our lodges on this tour we saw Flamingos, free roaming Wallabies and Mara, George the Cheetah and the Lions (viewed by an infa-red torch held by the tour guides) before heading back to our lodges for bed as we have an early start tomorrow breakfast followed by another tour before the zoo opens and then we are free to stay as long as we like in the zoo. Hope the lions don't keep me awake with their roaring.
