Spiky Plant... It Hurts!

I don't know what it is with Australia, I mean I love my homeland but the animals are out to get us and so are the plants!

I don't know what this is but when you step on them they hurt!

This one hadn't yet fallen to the ground, in the tree it was still quite nice.
Bit of a simpleton photo today, too hot to go for a decent walk about.
