Quaker Cottage

This is the house we rented for six months when we got relocated from Yorkshire 20 years ago. Mr DD's company were picking up the bill for that period and this was the only house we could find that would take a dog at short notice.
According to a local history book, it came with resident ghost and smelt of fish! Well we never noticed either. But it did come with a coffin door at the foot of the bed because of the incredibly narrow staircase. It dates back to the late 1500s and was a Quaker Meeting House at one time. All of which was wasted on our boys.
I always enjoy walking past it when I'm in town.
