A nation of dog lovers.

The main and extra were back ups from my bike ride this morning. I'd intended to go out in the afternoon but some emergency DIY (a near collapsed shed shelf with lots of tools etc) prevented that. All sorted now but too late to go out.
It said on the radio that, following a massive increase in the number of people becoming dog owners during the pandemic, there are now a sizeable proportion wishing to give them up. A dog is for life, not just for xmas/ pandemics, as the saying goes.
