The Two Wrestlers
Originally a Medieval house, this Wattle and Daub building became a pub in 1753. The name - the Two Wrestlers refers to two of its earliest landlords. Until a few months ago it was home to a succesful car workshop.
The Grade Two listed building is now deemed to be too dangerous and too expensive to repair. There is talk of conversion to housing. If so, I hope the developers retain some of the character of the building. Perhaps not the Wattle and Daub though.
