Memphis

Me, my mama, and Liz left the house at 3:00 this morning to start our road trip to Tennessee: first stop Memphis. It took us 18 1/2 hours to get here and during those 18 hours we saw a lot of cows, collapsed barns, and trailer parks.

Checked into the hotel around 8:30pm and finally wandered over to Beale Street (pictured) to look for some food, but our choices were limited as everything was already hoppin' and acting as bars rather than restaurants.

Left my bathroom stuff at home which is disappointing because I love using new mini shampoos, deodorants, etc. maybe I'll buy some new mini stuff tomorrow. I sure miss my mini travel hair brush.

Now we are off to bed exhausted and I'm excited to see what tmrw has in store for us. Hopefully that doesn't mean too much rain.
