Two artichokes

This bed has two types of artichoke: Jerusalem artichokes (a welcome winter crop) and green + purple globe artichokes (one of my favourite veg).

The plants are looking lush this summer but bizarrely the Jerusalem artichoke plant hasn't flowered. I think it hasn't been warm enough. It usually produces beautiful yellow flowers that look a bit like a mix between rudbeckias and sunflowers. I've missed them this year!
