Road Trip and Visits

Finally managed to get all our equipment packed for real camping and had to bid farewell to our wonderful host LV for our trip down south. Traffic certainly challenged our attempts to reach Birmingham on time but we managed to arrive for a late lunch with Mishkid and husband and enjoyed catching up with them at Quinto Lounge before picking up the kids from school and walking up for them to see our mobile home. Then on to Exeter via Bristol to avoid a 30 minute traffic jam on the M5. We were greeted with a steaming hot dinner and bottle of wine at 8:30 pm and chatted until after midnight when we then had to arrange ourselves for sleeping in the van for the first time - which was surprisingly successful - I only woke up once when someone crushed my legs trying to get out of the bed! Really comfortable and pleasantly cool with the overhead vent open. I think this is going to work fine once we organize everything and can find things we packed somewhere!
