Edale

Finally we’ve arrived at the cottage in Edale where we’ll be staying for a whole week. The journey was pretty horrendous - stop start up the M1 all the way and what should have taken 4 hours at most, took us 6 hours. I was very glad to get here, especially as we had a good delivery booked which we didn’t want to miss (it all worked out ok thankfully).

As we approached, the heavens opened and it poured with rain for about 15 mins, and as the skylight in the upstairs bathroom had been left open, we had to clear up the small flood that had resulted, but otherwise, it seems a lovely property, nestled between the Mam Tor ridge and Kinder Scout, so beautiful views in all directions!
