Too young....

The school was lucky enough to have a visit from the Pipe Band of the 4 Scots (Highlanders) today.

The band was brilliant, and as soon as the pipes played in harmony, the goose bumps appeared on my neck - I cannot resist. The drummers were also amazing;

I watched them "warm up" with them throwing the sticks at each other, and using the sticks from both ends. Fantastic.

It was easy to forget that these lads are soldiers first and pipers or drummers second.

I had a chat with this young piper afterwards, and told him that he looked as if he should still be at school. He told me he was 24, and already had done 2 tours of Iraq and one of Afghanistan.
