Life Goes On

It was my birthday today. Not a great day, but I didn't expect that it would be. I sat on the balcony of Saint Honore after breakfast, trying not to think about all the plans I thought we had for the future. I feel like my life has been put on hold and I had no say in the matter. Below me life in Hanoi goes on as normal oblivious to the lonely girl watching from above.
