Boomerang frog

I've heard the term 'boomerang kid' used to describe adult children who return home (perhaps no matter how many times their parents usher them out?) but I'm glad that this frog has decided to return to our pond!

We haven't seen a single sign of them since one weekend when every one of the four-legged tadpoles vanished. We had hoped that at least some hopped away rather than being eaten by a heron, but I was very surprised to find this frog hiding behind a pond-side plant today.

And yes, it's not a great photo.
