We had horrific winds last night nd this morning with gusts of up to 100kmh. A few times I really thought the van was going to get blown to Oz with the dog and I still in it, but when we got up this morning we were still in Kansas (well, Rolleston anyway). I think we were very lucky as the winds have caused a lot of damage around the South Island.
