Good and the bad!

After the great day that I had yesterday on my birthday, today sucked!

I was on a shoot for a pretty low key image - just a thumbnail for a newsletter, but the problem was it was with a pretty well known figure head in the area. We arranged with his PA to meet in the location - I did and managed to get a few recky shots. Or thought I would anyway!

After pressing the shutter button once, an error came up on the camera and it was making a racket inside. Changed my battery as requested on the error message, took out the battery grip and changed about 4 lenses. Still had the problem.

I only had 10 minutes with my subject, so fortunately I was in a place that had a backup camera. I grabbed it and that came with a multitude of problems! In the end I managed to get everything working. Downside, I put my 50mm lens back on the loaned camera which turns out that wasn't working 100% either! The camera must have been knocked at some point. The images turned out alright, but really disappointed with the whole thing and how it turned out. This shot was taken later on when back teaching just as a test shot to make sure everything was working! Nice and bright - love the colours.

So now the long process of looking for cameras begins! I have been wanting to upgrade my camera for a while, but definitely need to do it now with the work coming up.
