Octopus Tree

This, I think they said about a 300 year old Sitka Spruce tree, is near Cape Mears lighthouse. Whether the odd shape was formed by nature or by Native Americans seems to be an ongoing controversy.
We took an adventurous route home on curvy, less traveled roads. Looked for mushrooms, but it’s been too dry. Stopped at a fish hatchery and learned new things. Now home.
