Moth trapping

This is my trap set up, it's a Robinson which is a good trap. The moths are attracted to the light fall through the cone into the tub and can then go to sleep in the egg boxes I have thoughtfully provided. In the morning I will look at the sleeping moths to identify them before ensuring they fly safely off tomorrow evening and the hens don't get them in between. The data from the moth trapping program is used to track the species and is an important indicator for climate change.

Other wise today was fairly dull so despite a long walk I did not take many photos. Still very warm though so I should get over a hundred moths in the trap by morning.
