After the storm

“We need rain” said Dick when he came to cut the grass this afternoon. Not long afterwards the heavens opened. There was thunder and lightning too.

Just after I had decided not to risk driving to Bellingham for the student concert that starts Baafest (Bellingham All Acoustic Festival) the rain eased off. Perhaps I could have made it safely after all.

Daisy has come home, soaked to the skin. Here she is, after she spent ages drying herself! Oscar is still out.

Today’s birthday excitement is that an article about Mum appeared in our local paper, the Hexham Courant. She has half a page of coverage!
