I finally decided that the wasps nest which slowed our hedge cutting should have a turn in my Blip journal, so I managed to stand on the steps & get the best view I could of the nest & some of its occupants. The main image shows a trio (I think) of wasps at the entrance, towards the bottom of the nest, while the extra shows the surface of the nest, with its bands of pale & dark grey, brown & green, all made from chewed & worked wood scrapings.
