My Favourite......

.......Walk at the moment. There is a new cinder path around a beautiful Lake. The path used to be REALLY, REALLY muddy so had to stop using it but it was replaced in Late July. I have done this walk everyday for a few weeks now. There is a lovely bench where we sit looking over the lake and maybe have a coffee.

So, yesterday, Mr W asked me how "everyone was". I thought he meant just DN1 and her poorly Covid BF so I told him. He then said "has Sophie had her baby yet?". I nearly fell off the sofa. I asked him why he was asking that wondering what had prompted him. He had just seen his own daughter who had asked him. He said he knew she was due soon and thought the phone call I had from Josh on Tuesday night was just to tell me she was in labour!!! Oh how I cried!!! He wanted to know details and said it was only DN2 he wasn't talking to - not the baby and he knew how important that event was to me. Oh the relief. I felt so much better. Still a bit sad as sadness is not something you can just snap out of but oh so much better.

Anyway that was yesterday. Today has been better. DN1 still has a painful broken foot and can't drive but her BF is feeling better and finishes isolation on Friday night. DN2 is doing well. I had a few messages in the middle of the night asking on tips on how to settle Baby Brown as he just wanted a cuddle!!! I kept my phone close to be on call for her. I suggested my good old traditional method of just making him feel snuggled with an item of her clothing. Shes seen the midwife and seems in good spirits. No plans to see them yet. I'm waiting oh so impatiently for the nod!! But we are also making plans for a family re-union sometime at the weekend for Sams Birthday. We might have a bit of a house full which is just what I like and need right now. Mr W has been warned and the shopping arrived this morning double its usual size!

So things are looking better.
