Getting ready

After taking Caleb to school (remembered today 9:10 start), back home to start getting ready for the weekend - staying in a hotel on a sewing workshop. Basically requirements are 4 plain and 4 patterned fat quarters - I have too many to choose from!! Managed it in the end, so now all ready. :)

Some shocking news late morning - contacted by one of our lace ladies (there are 5 of us that meet regularly) to say that she had heard that one of our ladies had passed in the night, very sudden. We saw her on Monday night, she had talked fondly about how her children had taken her to the beach at the weekend and she/they had had a wonderful time. She even paddled in the sea. Whilst she had a number of health problems, still lived independently and managed all her daily living activities. So sad :(
