Herring Gull....

Tomorrow is supposed to be a complete rain out so we tried to make the best of today. While my husband took his morning run, I took a 5-mile walk.  After lunch, we sat on the beach and read (and napped) and delighted in the fact that we were the only people there.  We watched some occasional boats out on the bay and enjoyed the cool breeze and lovely sunshine. 

This fellow started hanging out around us.  I am sure he was hoping we had some food but we did not.  Anyway, he hung around long enough and close enough for me to get this shot.
